SHANTI-STHAL AT RANIPOOL
Shanti Sthal at Ranipool was conceived in the Rotary year 1992-93 and work was commenced in the same year after obtaining permission from State Government and Forest Department, Govt. of Sikkim. The final expenditure was about Rs.4.00 lacs only at that time. The most commendable work was done by ex-Rtn Birender Singh Dhunna supported by other Rotarians of the Club. The supervisory and field work was carried out by Late Nuni Mazumdar ‘ Nuni Babu’. Finally it was handed over to Urban Development and Housing Department, Government of Sikkim and is being looked after by them.
